Blokes Boxes was born from a deeply personal mission to make a difference. I’m Jed Hollis, a 39-year-old ex-Royal Engineer, proud husband to my incredible wife Sarah, and father to our two amazing children, Noah (4) and Rosie (2).
After serving eight years in the armed forces, including a tour in Iraq, my journey as a father sparked a path of self-discovery and a desire to give back.
When I learned the heartbreaking statistic that suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK, and that 42% of UK men have considered suicide, it hit me hard. Every life lost is a tragedy, leaving families and loved ones forever changed. I knew I had to act.
The idea for Blokes Boxes came to me one night, driven by a simple but powerful thought: if I could help just one person choose life over despair, every ounce of effort would be worth it. As I explored the gifting market, I noticed a glaring gap—there were few thoughtful, high-quality gifts for men, and nothing designed to support men’s mental health.
I woke up the next morning buzzing with excitement, my gut telling me this was the path to follow. Nearly two years later, Blokes Boxes was launched. Our gift boxes are more than just presents; they’re a call to connection. We curate items men will actually use and enjoy—think coffee, cigars, or unique lifestyle products that spark joy, not another pair of socks or an unused bottle of beard balm.
We know men often say, “Don’t get me anything” (I’m guilty of it myself!), but our loved ones always want to show they care. That’s why we created Blokes Boxes to make gifting effortless, meaningful, and impactful. Our Mindful Box takes it a step further, with all profits donated to charities supporting men’s mental health, encouraging men to share a moment, a conversation, or a coffee with a mate.
At Blokes Boxes, we’re not just about gifts; we’re about building moments of connection and supporting a cause that matters. Join us in redefining gifting for men and making a difference, one box at a time.
